My Pick:

I have to take Chile again here, in what poses to be a VERY tough match. I took Chile in their Spain match, and still feel that they were managing the game until the goalie made his dreadful mistake, giving Villa the midfield goal. That gave all the advantage to the Spaniards, who scored again due to another mistake from the Chileans. At this point the Chileans lost a player due to a red card, and still managed a goal in the second half with ten players. I know its difficult to back anyone against Brazil, but I have faith in the Chilean coach Bielsa to come up with a good scheme against this Brazilian squad. I don't have anything negative to say about the Brazilians, and I know the Chileans are lacking 2 defenders, but i'm sure they have legitimate back ups. I expect a good match, and i'm basically taking the draw, I expect a 1-1, 2-1, 2-2 match. Favoring the Chileans of Course. GL guys.

Tough match for Brazil, but theyll advance for sure.. Elano, Kaka and Robinho are good to go and theyll make the difference needed to advance. Melo came back from a late injury and train with the rest of the group so hopefully hell be OK for tomorrow. Maicon will be the wildcard of this match. His offensive collaboration is vital for brazil as shown in portugal´s game.

Wrong, average age of entire Brazil squad is 29-30, definitely the oldest in this match up and one of the oldest in the tournament. Only good investment on Chile was in the group stages IMO, Chile will be honored to lose to Brazil. GL

Few of the starters for Chile won't be playing because of their yellow card situations. Chile's starting 11 in the first two matches of the group stage might of had a chance against Brazil but they dug themselves a hole. Brazil ML for me.

Brazil is more than Chile and more than anyone present team, by far.


The most successful national soccer team in the history of the World cup, with five championships won on four different continents.


They always had exellent offensive teams, but this particular one adds one of their own history´s best defense.

Field´s spaces they leave are minimal, and their efficiency is spectacular.


Also they have a talented and reliable goalkeeper and the best wing-back player of the world (Maicon)


So, in my opinion, will be the next World Cup winner, if nothing extrange happens and logic and history prevail.


About next game:

Brazil does not lose with Chile since 10 years ago (when they lost 0-3, at Santiago-Chile).

After then, Brazil draw 1 and won 7, scoring 25 goals and reciving only 4 from chileans.


Robinho and Luis Fabiano will be ready to play tomorrow. Between them had scored 10 goals!!! in last 7 games....against Chile.


On the other hand (as if above wasn´t enough) Chile will not be able to count with the 2 better players in their previous matches, Gary Medel and Waldo Ponce (both suspended by yellow cards accumulation).


In conclusion, it would be very strange that Brazil does not win in regular time, hard to belive an extra time, and a miracle if they don´t qualify to quarters.

Brazil wins it. They've beaten Chile twice in the last qualifiers and own a devastating head-to-head record against them. Brazil will have Elano, Robinho and Kaka back as opposed to the Portugal game, while for Chile Ponce and Gary Medel will be tough losses.
