CHILE v. SPAIN (Predictions and Thoughts)

Im thinking Chile pk (+.5)(+165). I know that Spain has a lot to play for, and are one of the best three in the World Cup, but Chile will be ready. They also have everything riding on this game, and will play some very tough defense, because with a draw they guarantee first place. We know what happened last time a team played tight D on the Spaniards, they lost, and I foresee a similar result tomorrow. Either a tie or a 1-0 victory for Chile in my opinion here. Tough play I know, but I have one of those feelings.

Spain looked great last game winning 2-0 and not winning it 6-0 or 7-0 was just bad luck based on their chances.

Guys let's be a little more realistic and objective. I don't think that Chile will play defensive today this would be a suicide for them. Their coach has told the press that they will play with their usual attacking formation: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/ne...+tactics+chile

Additionally Carmona and Mati Fernandez are suspended today which will affect their offensive and defensive play for sure. (If you watched the 2 games you should notice that. Almost every ball from the defense area were passing through them.)

On the other side Spain has beaten Chile 6 times in the last 7 meets and scored 18 in these games. Today is a win or go home game for Spain. They know that they must win today and this pressure will become a motivation for them, not a stress.

I got 30x on Chili won't qualify. I don't say that they won't but it's not easy in this situation. They SHOULD HAVE scored more in the past 2 games. If they scored 4 or 5 goals (They had 40 shots in 2 games with incredible goal chances) they could qualify even if they lose to Spain. This is football and you may regret for the chances that you missed before. Today smells like Swiss and Spain will qualify for me.

If Swiss score an early goal the pressure may hurt the Chile side. If they encounter today I got nothing to say about that but I don't think that Chile can handle a focused Spain. That's the fact.

If Swiss can't beat Honduras and Chili-Spain qualiy, this is another story but I don't think that Hitzfeld miss this chance. We will see that.

I could see this game ending with Spain winning by a goal. But don't count out Chile all together they have a solid core of attacking players that seem to play very well together. I would say the over is the best bet in this game. I see Spain winning 3-2.

Spain gets much respect for being pretty avg. Both teams sat back and watched Spain attack , chile won't and will fire at will . 2-2 final . Remember people Spain are wc failures ..

Maybe you underrate Chile and overate Spain

Not at all my friend. If you ask me to evaluate Chili's first 2 games I would say that they play positively but this is not enough to beat Spain or take a draw from them, especially in this situation. They even gave 2 or 3 absolute goal chances to Swiss with 10 men. They can't defense, they just attack against teams who plays with defensive mentality.

Like I said before Mati Fernandez is the key of the Chili's attacking organisations, he does the first pass to the right area and their attacks begins healthfuly. I agree that Chile has A. Sanchez or M. Gonzalez or Beausejour but I don't think that they can play comfortably against the legendary defense block of Spain.

I won't attack anyone here. I just can't believe this difficult profit seeking. Some trends will repeat today and I believe with all my heart that tonight will be an easy game for Spain.

We will see that if I overrate Spain or you overrate Chile. Wish you all good luck.
