    The rising suns of the east
    Japan and S.Korea have been on the rise for a while now, they have successful domestic leagues which keep growing in strength and are investing alot in their youth and most importantly the sport keeps getting bigger out there.

    Japan qualify for the first time to the 2nd round in a foreign WC, S.Korea also qualified, both gave the strongest teams in their groups a good game. Japan especially was unlucky against Holland.

    Its good for the game, hopefully they keep progressing, I think they have a good future.

    We'll be keeping a closer eye on capping the J and K leagues

    Congratulations Japan and Korea

          I sure hope so I would love to see South Korea go through but if they lose I will be rooting for the Japanese to represent the Asian Football world! I am waiting to see the effect after the world cup to see which players if any im hoping there are a handful that get called up to the European leagues. Most likely players from Suwon Bluewings, FC SEOUL, and the Pohang Steelers in the K League the 3 best Korean Clubs

            Hopefully this will lead to a better overall Asian football quality by urging other nations to improve their standards after seeing an example of successful asian nations in the world cup.

              I am pumped up for Saturday morning when South Korea has the chance of a lifetime to tell the world 2002 wasnt a fluke and they are the real thing. And knowing that Japan has a chance to move on to is incredible to see 2 asian sides having a chance to move onto the Quarterfinals in the FIFA WORLD CUP

              I am praying that South Korea puts on a wonderful show and defeats the Uruguayans

                02' was, you've gotta admit, a result of a very powerful home field advantage tho.

                I have a feeling...... North Korea will pull something out of their asses against CIV tomorrow and cash the AH +1.25 ......

                    let me rephrase

                    02 was a combination of a very good team + home field adv.

                    SA is not a good team.
