USA has to beat Ghana without Essien, Uruguay or Korea, then on to the Semi's vs Brazil/Holland
USA should be favored to all the way up to the Semis. If they come through, they just need to win one game vs a real tough opponent to go to the final.

We lost a hard fought game to Brazil, I loved that world cup, so many happy memories, 3rd in the world, put our name on the footballing map, was so proud of the Turkish team! A few years ago we used to be whipping boys getting pounded 7-0 by teams like Belgium, to go from that to an emerging force to 3rd in the world was incredible.

I'll tell you something similar team USA has to Turkey, an unbelievable team spirit, they will never say die and fight to the last minute. When Turkey made it to the Semi's in the Euro's we scored a last minute goal in every game and even got one in the semi's. At this stage of the competition, having a huge pair of cojones goes a long way, the psychological side of the game at this level can't be underestimated. The US has a chance at a serious upset but they have to believe.
