    How does world cup determine what teams go into which pools?
    Was just curious..couldn't find anything by google.

      I think theres a little more logic behind it. For example, you'll never see more then one continent represented in the same pool (except Europe has 13 teams, thus 5 of the 8 pools consisting of 2 Europeans nations)

        Yeah that's right, only one team from each continent can be in a group, with the exception of european teams. Here's some info on the setup

          I actually found it on fifa's site..... there are 7 seeds and the host country in a pot
          then they are broken into 3 other pots geographically for the most part.

          Each group gets one name out of each pot.

            I don't get it why is Brazil #1 in same group with Portugal #3.
