These red cards and flops are ridiculous. These players really need to be a little tougher.

It's a good sport, but some of these hits that cause a fckin stretcher to come are embarrassing.

Yea, that and red cards. These ref's are so quick to give a red and basically give the other team the win. Its ridiculous.

Yep, it's like a technical or flagrant foul in the NBA knocking someone out and having it be 4 on 5.

Yea, I actually hadn,t seen the KAKA red card until now, and wow. They may need to get replay, and I would have given the ivory coast guy a red for that.

IMO, the problem is not the players flopping. They are just doing whatever it takes to win. The problem is the officiating. It seems like the reaction of the players, how hurt they are, has a bearing on on the referree's calls. I feel like there are many delayed calls, where if they player did not go down in a heap, the ref would have swallowed the wistle.

                Same with red cards.

Exactly. The players usually arn't actually hurt its just become part of the game now because most of the refs are stupid and can't tell the difference between a guy faking an injury and a guy who's seriously hurt. As a result the players take advantage.

I'd like to see you guys try reffing a game in the heat of the moment and determining acting from general fouls. I still blame the players for acting like 5 year olds, the South Americans are generally the worst, Africans the next worse. Then come the Italians and French.

have you seen scary injury or even death of player on field? Referee is not a director or producer. He can't differ what is drama or what is real. They can only judge based on what they see.

On the other side, players faking injury or diving or handball are actually risking being red card if they get caught. And, it is actually more than that, with all the media able to replay the play, the player will get mocked in news headlines. Remember how Henry made the headline for the wrong reason? Fabiano just recently? To the point both players admit they use hands? They will also get famous in referee for diving. You just see in some matches, no matter how many times ronaldo kiss the ground, some referee wont give out the foul.

My favorite was the one where the guy softly kicked the ball in the direction of the guy about to take the corner kick, hit him in the legs and he dropped holding his face like he just got stabbed in the face. Worked too.

I admit I hate the diving and shitty refereeing in this WC, but seriously stop complaining when you don't know anything about the sport. There are a lot of rules to protect the integrity and well being of the players, some of them take advantage of it and it sucks, but at least we get to see more skill and art than fist fights and mindless head bashing.
