Many say that the champions Italy were a big disappointment against Paraguay. I do not agree. They dominated under difficult outer conditions and their players played with big hearts. Maybe they were too ambitious. At least it looked like that, with their passing game more sloppy than usual. Italy will not be able to call on their keeper Buffon for this match. Still no Pirlo. We will most likely see Di Natale from the start instead of the ineffective Iaquinta, joining Gilardino upfront in a 4-4-2 formation. Camoranesi could replace Marchisio.
N Zealand are not a good side, but their players are fully committed and they can put good use of set pieces. Worth some respect, in other words. Still, only one outcome is possible. The Italy win!
