    Commentators at World Cup
Here in Australia we are getting it on SBS. One thing that annoys me is when a commentator calls the game on his own I much prefer the two commentator deal.

What channel, what country and how many commentators are you's getting?

The US has 4 2-man commentary teams. Ironically only one of the 8 is actually American.

I actually prefer it this way in the US. John Harkes is a good commentator, but it's hard to argue with having Martin Tyler and Ally McCoist. I've always liked Derek Rae too. Surprised Tommy Smyth isn't actually calling any of the games. Would have loved Andy Gray to do some commentary as well.

Harkes is okay, but not great. He tends to get stuck harking (see what i did there) one thing or one player far too long. He also seems like he has problems putting two sentences together without sounding nervous.

Andy Gray is awesome, wish he wasnt contracted to Fox.

I wanted Martin Tyler as well every time he is calling a game makes it feel like a massive game even if it was like New Zealand vs Algeria.....

He makes any game seem exciting.

Would anyone know the dudes who called the FA Cup Final when Steven Gerrard hit them two goals in the last 10 minutes, them commentators went OFFFFF!!!

              This one? It's John Motson.

Personally I prefer this one though. It's Andy Gray. I'm a huge Liverpool fan, and this is definitely one of my favorite moments.

Yeah this dude's tripping me out a bit. The first couple of games they had more than one guy, no? I remember an English guy talking during the... wait for it... England match.

I keep waiting for someone else to chime in. I like the half time guys though - they're quite funny from time to time.

Here's the FA Cup Final, as announced by Martin Tyler and Andy Gray. Same as the first video, just different announcers.

Tyler and Gray really are the best in the business. I watch the EPL regularly and always hope to catch a stream with at least one of the two.

                        Just watch this:

The commentators here in Germany are utter rubbish. Boring and just spouting phrases. And tactical analysis usually goes as far as 'one team plays offensively and the other one defensively'

No wonder that the yanks signed all the British commentators. This shows you why Americans shouldn't be allowed anywhere near football:

But ofc there are loads of bad ones in Britain too. I find Motson horrible. Remeber the Euro08 final. All he had to say when Torres scored was 'Oh it's there' (in his annoying voice). And many of them don't actually have a lot to say. That's the great thing about Andy Gray. He actually can provide a little insight and deeper analysis.

That's Max Bretos. To be fair, most of us in the US hate that douche.

Nice videos, I remember that Gerrard one vs that Greek team.

Max Bretos at least has so some imagination. I hate when the commentators don't acknowledge how lucky a goal is, like a deflection goal. They call unintentional stuff .... talent.... etc...
