    help on offsides rule please
I get that you are offsides if you are past the last line of defense, but I haven't heard any mention of what would stop some gamesmanship of the defense to always just move up and put u offsides when the ball gets in deep. Seems like a rule that hurts what little offense there is so bad. I mean isn't the whole point to get behind the D? Any explanation wold be appreciated so I can understand what I'm watching. Thanks, Dan

Belgium was infamous for "creating" artificial offsides for opposing offences back in 80's.
