    Soccer Draw
In the first round of the tournament is the wise bet to play the draw. As I watch Ivory and Portugal, it appears these teams are satisfied with just getting their legs underneath them. Every game except for Germany has been played close to the cuff and I would expect the next games to be where you pick the team.

This observation is a little late don't you think? First round is over soon.

Thanks for the information after nearly 5 days and 14 matches

I wouldnt play the draws for the 2nd and 3rd round of group games though, those teams who lost or drew the openers will have to go for the win alot more...meaning more chance of goals and a non-drawn outcome.

won a nice chunk of change on a small bet that nzl/slvk and port/ivory coast both drew today. Under and draws are moneyyy so far. Lets see if it changes.

To make an observation one needs information. Yes this is late, but there are still more games left in the round and there is always those games 4 years from now.

Ironically enough I checked the stats from the opening group games of the past 2 world cups - there were 7 draws over the opening group games in 2006 and 2002 combined...7 draws out of 32 games is hardly a noticeable and backable trend.

Alot of it is too matchup dependent.
