this ref reminds of cowboy joe west. Ronaldo got decimated with that tackle and he gave him a yellow...lol. He takes a lot of dives but that clearly wasn't one of them. Either way the Ivory Coast players are showing no class in their behavior.

This is disappointing. I was really looking forward to this game and it is turning ugly. Lazy play and defense from the Ivorians. Portugal is clearly overconfident and trying to be too tricky. Both teams are spending more time pleading with the refs than playing the game.

This match started off really well and now looks like a hoon fest. The announcer here said you could clearly see Ronaldo buckling his legs before the other guy (forgot his name) tackled him and that's why the guy went off at him. But yeah, it seems the players are spending more time laying on the ground and whinging than they are actually trying to score.

Yes, they have been very profitable, but be careful. Things will eventually even out, first group of matches tend to be a little tighter and low scoring.

ronaldo needs to let the ref do his job, but i guess he can't help himself, he's gotta overplay every opponent touch into drawing a foul.

it cost him, he likely would have gotten the call that led to his booking had the ref not already grown tired of his act.
