Am I the only one thinking Soccer's unpredictable to make money with?

soccer's not really game of stats so, it's fawkin hard to predict.

Its just like every other sport to be honest, if you're willing to watch and learn it you can get a good read on whats going to happen in the long term.

I for one couldn't pick an MLB winner if a gun was pointed at my head. But that's because I dont like the sport one bit. Thats really what it boils down to, like the guy above said, if you dont like the sport and dont commit time to learn it, you most likely wont be very successful in betting it.

That sums it all up better than I could - Its taken me 25 years of watching footie and 10 years of watching bases to get comfortable with my level of knowledge in betting terms. There aint no quick fixes in any sports bettingwise.

it is quite unpredictable because defences nowadays make it a low scoring game and the numerous strategies that can be deployed by weaker teams means that the best doesn't win that often

Well the WC so far has been really predictable. Got 8 out of 10 games right in my various betting communities.

Unders has been money in the bank so far, but I bet the lines get shaded towards unders from now on with the "average Joe bettor" trying to follow a trend (low scoring, tight games) that will very likely regress towards the mean as the group stages go on.
