I'm on Uruguay DNB @ 2.50.
I don't think France is all that anyway. They shouldn't even be there and they know it. Also they don't have the best relationship with their coach. We'll see. Of course they have many class players who can take the game and carry the team on their shoulders.

I'm also on France -1 (corner handicap) @ 2.10
I think France will take more shots thus more corners.

Group A and D are the toughest group in the competition, it wouldn't be a surprise who qualified out of those teams.

France v Uruguay is an interesting match up, lets start with France.

France have changed their system and formation because of Diara being out, any team making such drastic changes before a major competition makes them very unpredictable. Domenech has now put Malouda in the middle even though the player has openly said he doesn't play as well and naturally drifts out left anyway. The manager also bought mostly left defensive players, there is congestion on the left, Evra, Ribbery and Malouda have even ran into each other at times. This leaves the centre and right side exposed. Henry is not what he was, a shadow of his former self, lost his pace and his game with it. The team relies on the hope that Gourcouff will be the next Zidane. Anelka is very unpredictable and there is no serious replacement for him. He left Benzema, Nasri, Ben Afra etc etc
A team making such important changes to how they play makes them very unpredictable. Team moral isn't good and France is going to replace the manager after the world cup.

Uruguay play a 3-5-2, a formation which is hasn't been used much recently, tactically they are better than France as they have a good quality player for each position who has clear instructions and follow them. The strike force is world class but the delivery to them could be a problem, the Perairas on the wings can be dangerous, the team is defensively strong and can cause a deadlock in midfield. It will be interesting to see if Tabares can get his formation to work. He may try to expose Malouda being played out of position, if they can dominate the centre of the park and deliver quality balls to Forlan adn Suarez, two top class strikers then there is a good chance of them getting something from this game. A weakness of Uruguay is that they don't have a top class playmaker or central attacking midfielder to feed the strikers through the centre, this may change if Lodeira plays and lives up to what is being said about him.

There is value on Uruguay +0.5 but France is very unpredictable, their team moral doesn't seem good either but I will watch this game instead of putting heavy money on it. I agree with your play though, if I was taking it I would have Uruguay aswell.
