I'm still waiting for another blow out like the Germany game and this seems to be as good of a chance as any. I think Spain will win and win comfortably having had plenty of time to acclimitise. No doubt whos the better team and Spain have oooodles of talent and should be too much for the Swiss, I like the play because I think even if Spain dont play well they'll still win 2-0.
Hopefully Spain will win 2-0, but if they decide to rack up the score then i'm covered a little bit.Comment -

Enough of this bullsh*t, its the business end now and the 2nd round of games are where the best teams start winning...! In theory anyways. I fancy Uruguay to have too much here for Bafana Bafana, I think South Africas "moment" in the sun carried them to a point against Mexico in the opener, now games get serious and I think the South Americans will have too much firepower and create far more chances, its just a case of Suarez, Forlan et al sticking one or two of them away.Comment -

Argentina vs South Korea - Over 2.5 Goals +125 (Thursday)
The Argies will always create chances and if Higuain wasnt such a spoon against Nigeria they could have had a sackful, if they create the same number of chances against Korea they are going to score a couple at least - In defense the Argies are susceptible at the best of times and Korea have shown against Greece and in the past that they can score goals....I fancy the Argies to win but cant back on Korea not scoring, so overs is the play.
France vs Mexico - France to Win +137 (Thursday)
Going with the best team here. Mexico were awful at the back and got picked apart too easy by Bafana Bafana in the opener .... They can go forward ok but they wont have the same freedom to do so against the French knowing they will get picked off on the break and that a loss eliminates them effectively. On paper France are a class apart from Mexico and I expect them to win here when it really matters.
Slovenia vs USA - FT Draw +240 (Friday)
I dont think there is as much between these teams as some people haev suggested in the past, sure the States got a draw against a lacklustre England but they really never looked like winning the game. Slovenia took care of business against Algeria but they werent exactly prolific either. I think both teams know that a win here would just about see them through from the group stages but a loss would be disasterous, I expect alot of huffing and puffing and ending in a scoring draw.
Germany/Serbia & England/Algeria - England/Germany parlay +109 (Friday)
Cant see either of the big two losing here. England got a draw in the opener despite not playing well at all, they are often slow starters and know that anything other than a win here would see them fighting an uphill battle to qualify. Germany were the team of the tournament in the first round of games whilst Serbia were absolutely gash, Serbia cant play that bad again but Even then I think the Germans will be too good and too efficient going forward for them.
Ghana vs Australia - FT Draw +250 (Saturday)
Ghana grabbed a win against Serbia in the first game and a draw here will likely be all they need, assuming Germany beat Serbia - The Aussies were humiliated by Germany and probably already know that they arent going to qualify from the group. I fancy a stalemate here with Ghana fighting hard not to get beat and the Aussies just trying not to get thrashed all over again. There isnt much between these teams talent wise, neither have much attacking threat so I dont see many (if any) goals.
Slovakia vs Paraguay - Paraguay to Win +110 (Sunday)
Slovakia were godawful against a poor New Zealand side, and its hard to see how they can break down a defence that silenced Italy for long periods of the game. Paraguay did very well against Italy and a draw will have given them alot of hope of qualifying, they will be doing all they can to follow up the Italy draw with a good result here, defensively I just dont think Slovakia can live with them.
Brazil vs Ivory Coast - Brazil to Win at HT/FT +175 (Sunday)
Brazil had all the ball against the Koreans without really threatening to run up the score, but they know they will have to be better here or risk losing, Dunga has already come out and said he expects better. One thing ive always seen from Brazilians is when people write them off, they respond in style. The Ivory Coast looked an awful team and its hard to expect too much attacking play when your starting forwards are Aruna 'couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo' Dindane and Didier 'only 20% fit' Drogba.
Thats all I got for the next 4 days and have had to make them all early, will be back on Sunday night no doubt to see they all lost. Then i'll be on the street corner begging for money for food

Portugal vs Korea DPR - Over 2.5 Goals +120 and Over 3.5 Goals +333 (Monday)
Going for a long shot here and thinking Portugal are going to win big. They know that anything but a defeat here will be curtains for them since they face Brazil in the last round of games, they have some attacking talent and hopefully Ronaldos free kicks will be a factor now he's gotten used to the jabulani ball - North Korea worked hard against Brazil, and had a coupla chances to score more than the one they managed and I dont trust Portugal enough defensively, so backing goals seems the obvious choice.
Speculative and most will probably disagree, but would not at all be surprised to see an open game of 'ball here with lots of chances created, as it should be when teams are effectively out if they fail to win.Comment -

Going for the obvious play here - I expect the Swiss to keep this tight and just play for a draw, knowing they have the easiest game in the final round of matches. They kept Spain quiet and can do the same with Chile here IMO. Sorry its brief, and its very late, had internet issues...!!

Honduras vs Spain - Spain (1st Half -1.5) +185
I'm still rating Spain very highly and am willing to pick this strange handicap at decent odds. There is no doubting the attacking talent they have, and if (as expected) Fabregas, Torres and Jesus Navas all start then the balance of the side is alot better in an attacking sense than the other day. It also looks likely that this group will be decided on goal difference, and with Spain holding a 3 goal deficit to Chile they will be going all out to rack up the score just like Portugal did earlier, so it gives them the advantage when they face each other in the final game. Honduras are just a non-factor here for me, very poor defensively and have very little attacking threat at all, they will be too scared of Spains attacking prowess.
Again, probably controversial and very few people will agree but hey-ho, thats the business we're in

I think the rifts in the French camp are being a little bit overplayed to be honest, talk of them shirking it and not giving a ****, or even boycotting the game, are complete nonsense. Anyone who doesnt give total commitment in this game will be banned for a LONG time by the French FA. Man for man they are far superior to Bafana Bafana and I think Domenech will let the players have their own way and play their own tactics for this, since its gonna be his last game he can end on a win if the players even show 80% commitment.
Argentina vs Greece - Argentina [-1.5] +142
Even though Argentina are going to make 7 or 8 changes their team is still FAR superior to Greece, they are playing with an epic spirit in the squad thanks to the little cokehead. Its hard to not back them to win big when Greece have been so poor and rely on defence to get results, they cant do that here since they need a win and Argentina will pick them off on the break at will. Also the Argies are calling on "reserve" players such as Milito and Kun Aguerro, 2 of the best forwards in Europe, its business as usual here IMO.
Uruguay vs Mexico - Uruguay to win +300
Strange one to play this given whats at stake but I am merely taking the odds on IMO the best of these two teams. Uruguay for me will play their normal attacking game, if they try and sit back and just play for a draw they will probably get beat and have to play Argentina in the 2nd round ... Most people are obviously touting the draw for all kinds of reasons, and that may be fair enough, but getting +300 on a good attacking team in a game where all it takes is one bad refereeing decision to change things.
Not got anything on Nigeria vs South Korea, I cant really see anything that stands out tbh.
