    World Cup power rankings (opinionated)
Nothing scientific, but just a guideline for matchups. Listing is opinionated, as can be seen from, for instance, Slovenia (which beat out Russia and Czech Republic). S. Africa's relatively high listing is because of home field advantage. I'll keep track during the tournament, as here two years ago http://forum.sbrforum.com/soccer-han...2008-a-p3.html). Euro is easier for me than WC, so I'm not expecting rankings to perform like that again. Feel free to add your complete rankings, so we can compare accuracy during the tournament, and go with the best list.

Mexico and S.Africa shouldn't be so high. US and Ivory Coast should be higher (especially IC). Uruguay should be higher as well. Just my opinion.

Nobody is going to have the exact same rankings, so let's not turn this into a 'I don't agree with that team' type of thread. Add your full listing if you have one. Would be great to have a number of such work sheets and see which one has the best predictive value.

I would move Ivory Coast, Paraguay, and Uruguay into the second slot.

Chile has no business being in the last group either.
