Jozy Altidore sprained his ankle in training today and was taken to the hospital for x-rays. Although x-rays came back negative this is still bad news for the US. He was the one true striker on their roster that was a lock for the final 23 man squad. We will see how costly this injury will be for Altidore himself and the US team.

He scored a goal vs Spain which helped knock them out of the confed. cup last summer. He scored an important goal with Hull vs Man City in their 2-1 win vs them at home. He isn;t a prolific goal scorer, but he can score important goals, this is bad for the USA.Comment -
