This is the last chance for England fringe players to impress the coach before rosters are trimmed down from 30 to 23 players. I don't think Japan can score and England will score more than one goal. Chelsea players Terry and Lampard will feature as well as speedy wings Lennon and Walcott with Bent partnering Rooney up front. This is a very speedy attack and will cause problems to Japan. On set pieces England also has the advantage with Terry and Ferdinand going forward.

I could care less about betting on this game, the only thing I want to see is Bent and Rooney being provided some good opportunities, if this happens then betting on them in the WC will be a solid strategy. If I see them wasting Bent and Rooney like they did vs Mexico then they are 100% fade material for me.
