Good read, what do you think of their chances this year?

So who's going to be Germany's starting strikers for the tournament?

I think Klose will be the only striker as Low prefers a 4-2-3-1 system. Klose had the worst year of his career and scored only 6 goals in 38 matches. But he enjoys a lot of credit in the national team and might even become the new captain.

The world cup comes 1-2 years too early for the German team. They have a lot of young players who are not experienced enough to win the tournament.
Ballack’s injury is a big blow. Khedira will replace him and I think he will do a great job but Ballack was supposed to lead the team and Khedira, who has played 104 minutes in the national team so far can’t replace him as a leader. Schweinsteiger will be the key player for Germany.
Especially the midfield might be very young. Beneath Schweinsteiger (25) and Khedira (23) I expect Podolski (24), Ozil (21) and Kroos (20) to take over the offensive part.

I think they can make it to the quarterfinal. Anything beyond that would be a surprise to me.

Germany to the quarter finals is very likely to happen imo.

I see Germany struggling against the top 5 teams and they might meet England in the round of 16 or Argentina in the quarterfinals.

I read that Trasch is injured and will miss the wc. He was the only backup in the defensive midfield and a 4-2-3-1 without backup is impossible imo. I'm curious about Low solving this problem
