-Wigan defeated Chelsea at home 3-1 earlier in the Premier League.
-Chelsea playing at home.

With that being said, Wigan is +2500. What do you guys think of placing a half unit bet on Wigan to upset Chelsea.

HIGHLY UNLIKELY but there is a lot of juice on Wigan. I know Chelsea is a completely different team playing at home (defeating teams 7-0), but is it worth it to put a very small bet on Wigan?

Totolover, if you have a hunch of Wigan grabbing something, go ahead and place a small unit on them,the odds are definitely worth it. If you wait a little, the odds will increase even more by tomorrow morning. You could try as Tommy said something to cover you in case of a draw. If you get cold feet you can bet on Chelsea live if the game goes only one way and secure a little profit. Personally I don't think Chelsea will stumble, but if you have this feeling, follow it!

No I think its a waste.

Chelsea is the easy call and the right one. They are playing a title game at home against a team that's already safe and got nothing to play for than pride. Wigan won't stop Chelsea and it'll probably end 3/4/5-0.

For the record; I'm a Chelsea fan.

And before you ask; no I'm not completely insane, just a little. Yes, I do know that Chelsea hammered Stoke 7-0 in their last home game, in fact I were watching it live. I also know that Wigan has nothing to play for and that only Burnley has conceded more goals on the road. But when capping a game, you gotta go with your gut feeling now and then, not just the statistics.

Because those of you who have followed the Premier League and Chelsea closely, you should have noticed that when the pressure is on Chelsea, they tend to not deliver as usual in front of goal. They often struggle to get that first goal in games with a lot of pressure. In this season they have had numerous chances to get way ahead on Man United, but failed most of the time.

Even though Chelsea has delivered some monster wins at home this season, Carlo Ancelotti is a typical italian coach, which means that when Chelsea get that first goal, they will not attack without caring much about defense like against Stoke. The match is too important for that. Wigan has players that counter attack well like N'Zogbia, which Chelsea will take into consideration. Stoke does not have players with that pace and technique offensively.And after all; 4/10 of Chelseas last games has gone under, both if you look at overall and only home games.

This is a play primarily based on my gut feeling, but I also feel that if you are going to play under/over 2.5 is the right play on a general basis too.

Betting on Wigan ML in this match is to give away money to the book. Seriously, why even think about it? +2500 is nothing. No value. I wouldn't risk it for +3000, not even +5000. +10000, maybe I would try a unit.

And no, you won't get any serious discussion going when you actually think Wigan have a chance in this game.

Not necessarily a blowout. I hope Chelsea will struggle to score if Wigan parks the bus in their box, but even if this should happen then you know Chelsea will get that 1-0 goal near the end when Wigan are getting tired of defending. It could end in a draw, that's the biggest potential upset you're gonna get out of this match. No way in hell does Wigan win this match. No way.
