Have you seen what a very lazy mexico team did to this defense? South Africa blew every other attempt at offside trap. In my mind, there was no way they were going to keep a clean sheet against Uruguay.
If not for rainy conditions, this should have been 4 or 5-0. Uruguay is much better. France is better than people think. Mexico is worse than people think. Math 101.
P.S. Yes, I do realize I sound like an ass saying this now, after 0-3 with next to no chance for the SAR to keep it close, let alone get anything out of this game. But I would have said the same if I saw this comment pregame. I had risked the most money ever on Uruguay +0.5. And feel like a sucker not taking Forlan at +20000 to be top goalscorer of the tournament after game 1.
