Is it worth to bet on the odds less than 1.50?

I have noticed the bookies provide the odds of the favorite teams like 1.1-1.5. I don't think it's not worth to go with this, but maybe the combo of 2-3 teams is worth a shot, and sometimes those favorite teams don't always win.
Yeah, with big money is worth to invest with 10% or 50% profit.
Any thoughts of the professional bettors' points of views?

Seriously though, it requires very selective betting but there is a lot of value in certain low odds picks. The bookies just want an even spread of money so for arguments sake, if a popular team is 5/1, but should be higher then the 4/7 fav should be bet. An example would be Barca to beat Arsenal - so much money went on Arsenal because of the odds, when really the price was obviously very fair given the outcome.

Sunderland on Saturday at home to Burnley would be one i'd bet on
