Manchester United for me. I know it's not a baker or lock but good value, even without Rooney!

Think the best bet for this one is Under 2.5.

Man Utd lacking creativity in the middle of the park and Bayern is also very strong in the middle of midfield so Man Utd will have to play down the flanks to create chances. The problem for United is that playing down the flanks suits the Bayern central defenders who are slower and better at heading the ball.

Bayern already has the lead in this one and they won't be gung-ho but instead happy to keep control of possession when they have the ball in comfortable situations or launch quick counter attacks, if they've just been under big pressure defensively and need to get the ball forward quickly.

Similarly, Man Utd can't be too attacking either because they know a Bayern away goal will mean they'll need to score twice, something they may not be too confident in doing against a good Bayern team, with Rooney not 100% fit or starting.

Under 2.5 looks a great bet, especially at +EV odds.

If Bayern score 1 goal, which I think it's likely, then United have to find 2 to tie, 3 to win. If Bayern score 2 United have to score 4 to qualify because of the extra away goal Bayern would have.

What about last season when they had Ronaldo. After selling him everyone asked how they can cope without him and then Rooney showed his brilliance. Thats the team and everybody must step up. Sooner they realize that sooner we see them past Germans
