Edit: BK Hacken game was actually 1-0 after 30 minutes, BetFair Live Score was a bit slow in updating that one, my apologies for any confusion.

I think Inter will win but the juice is too much for me to take them on the ML. I'm not confident that Inter will win by 2 goals so I've stayed away from the Asian Handicap as well.

I'm really sure about this one but, as always, I could be wrong.

This is a game between two of the better teams in the First Division, Horsens are averaging less than 1 conceded per home game and Naestved are averaging less than one goal conceded on their travels. Naestved has the 2nd best away defensive record in the Danish First Division.

I've also seen Naestved play this season when I was visiting my uncle who works in Scandinavia for a large part of the year. I mainly went to see Rosenborg play in Norway (one of my favourite teams in Europe ever since they beat AC Milan in the European Cup in 1990's) but I had a brief stay in Denmark to visit my uncle and we watched 2 games while I was over in Denmark. Naestved was away in one of those games and they looked a very solid team on the road, with a very organised defence.

Cheers for the kind words, theplagy. Had a strange day yesterday with 11 red cards involved in my picks, hoping for a more "normal" day with my Saturday picks.

Thoughts on specific Saturday 4/3 picks:

Manchester United vs Chelsea: Manchester United pk -105

A clash of two styles here, the 4-4-2/4-3-3 with wingers vs the 4-4-2 narrow diamond formation.

For Chelsea to get any kind of attacking joy they need a good game from fullbacks who have to get forward to provide some width. Manchester United has the perfect tactic to counter this, however, the use of the defensive, hard working wingers. I'm also certain that Park and Valencia will play and they'll be told to double up on Chelsea's fullbacks in conjunction with their fullback.

To nullify the threat of Chelsea's diamond and potential build up play through the centre, United will simply tell their two central midfielders to stay and home and form a block in front of the back four when defending. The second striker, when United defends, will come back to close down the space just in front of the midfield two and United will frustrate Chelsea's attacking threat throughout the whole match.

United will be happy to play on the counter with the wingers and the second striker bursting forward to support the lone striker when United get the ball. United's two central midfielders should stay behind the ball but United's fullbacks will look to push forward so they can isolate Chelsea's lone wide players, their fullbacks, in countless two vs one situations on the wing. This is where United can exploit Chelsea's weakness and if they play Berbatov as the striker, they'll have someone who can get on the end of their many crosses.

I think United has the perfect strategy to defeat Chelsea and with United attacking down the wings to exploit Chelsea's lack of wide players, they won't be missing Rooney too much because the crosses will be focused towards Berbatov. United's second striker will largely be used as a defensive tool to close down in front of United's two midfielders and link the play between midfield and attack. A more "passing" player would be useful than a dynamic "running" player in this role because Chelsea has too many players in the central midfield area so anyone playing in the second striker role will need to pass the ball and get rid of it quickly so that United can play through the wings.

Of course I am assuming that United will play 4-4-1-1 but a similar strategy of attacking down the wings could work with a 4-3-3, the only difference being that the 3rd midfielder plays a little deeper and creates a backwards triangle that plays a little deeper instead of a forward one that plays a little higher in midfield. One of the 3 would still burst forward to support Berbatov.

Tactically, I think United has the edge, they have the home ground advantage and I think their central defence looks a bit more solid than Chelsea's at the moment, particular at set pieces which could be vital in a tight clash. The pk line provides us with a little extra security as well and the juice is pretty low so I'm really liking this line, can't wait for the game to start! I'm excited about this one, should be a cracking match!

Cardiff City vs Swansea: Cardiff City pk and -0.5

Been extremely impressed with Cardiff in certain games recently and I think they have two massive advantages for a derby type situation, which is what they are facing in this South Wales clash. Derbies are typically tight, tense encounter with few clear cut opportunities, they should favour the clinical teams who can put away their chances when they arise, they can score at important moments even if they're not playing well.

On the other hand, you have Swansea who plays nice football and has lovely build up play but for a team in the playoffs, they have one of the worst offensive records in the league. Swansea just doesn't score enough of the chances they create and in big games you can't afford to waste opportunities like Swansea does. You need to be ruthless and I think Swansea lacks that ruthless streak that is needed to finish off their opponents. No matter how well Cardiff and Swansea are playing, if both had 5 chances, you'd favour Cardiff to score more of them than Swansea.

The other reason I favour Cardiff over Swansea in a derby situation is because derbies are generally played at a higher tempo and a higher intensity and this suits Cardiff's style a lot more than Swansea's. Swansea likes to be patient and play the ball around but Cardiff is capable of playing good football, playing at a high intensity, closing down their opponents quickly and getting stuck into challenges. Cardiff is a good team with a mixture of qualities whereas I get the feeling that Swansea's passing game can be a little one dimensional. Swansea doesn't really have a plan B and if they go a goal down to Cardiff, I can't see them getting back into the game.

The other advantage Cardiff has is that they have players that can score from midfield very regularly. Having goal threats from all over the park is what makes teams like Man Utd and Arsenal so dangerous. Cardiff is a similar threat in the Championship in this regard. Whittingham has scored 22 goals from midfield this season, quite remarkable and he will give Swansea extra problems to think about when defending. Unfortunately for Cardiff, they'll be missing their other goalscoring midfielder, Chris Burke, but they can push Kelvin Etuhu onto the right wing with Jay Bothroyd returning from suspension to play up front.

I know that Cardiff is missing some players through injury, some of them long term like Ledley, but they've still been very impressive in recent wins over Leicester and Crystal Palace. I really rate this Cardiff team highly and I think they can continue to play well in the derby match against Swansea.

Cardiff also has a really good option on the bench, a real goal poacher, someone that can get you a goal even if he's not been involved in the game for a long period. Swansea certainly doesn't have that type of option on the bench, if they are struggling, they don't really have a way of changing things. Michael Chopra is one of the best goal poachers in the Championship in recent years and if Cardiff needs a goal, he is a great option to bring into the game.

I have a strong opinion that Cardiff is going to defeat their South Wales rivals today. Cardiff pk and -0.5 -105 looks like a great bet to me.

Enjoy the games today! I'm really looking forward to these 2 cracking clashes in particular.

I smell a draw for Bolton-Villa game in logic but I also think Villa may show up today after 7-1 defeat against Blues.

There has been a power outage which means there is no CCTV so guards have to stay there all night and they don't want to be going to the toilet in the bushes.
