Whats the plan TBill, you looking for safe chalk plays or are you looking for nice dogs? I think either way can be profitable if managed right.

Chalk is alright as long as it doesn't exceed -170 in my opinion. Unless I find something that I think is a complete winner, I won't be laying too much chalk, but in soccer, you almost have to lay some chalk to win. I'm still investigating my Internazionale pick today, and will be posting a play soon if I have one

Hello Tbill, Your honesty is refreshing- I like you am not a "highroller." My bets consist usually around the 20$ to 50$ range unless I see something that "just feels right." Mostly I just tail certain cappers because
the level of genius floating around these threads is unbelievable. I've learned a lot. Someone told me never to pay more then (-135) juice. Someone else told me that parlays were sucker bets. Again, this is stuff I've
picked up along the way. I LOVE parlays & find it very hard to stay away from them which gives credence to the former statement I think.L.O.L

Anyway, I like your Idea. I think as a united front
WE the people have a GOOD shot at making some$$$$.

Thanks a lot Spaceviews. With that said, here's my first play (a tiny one at that haha, I figure with a $35 account, I don't want to throw too much on a parlay to start). But, a parlay is the best thing that's on the board today, and a multi-sport one at that. There will be bigger soccer plays this weekend I assure you, as Wilforth has already shown me some tasty lines for the weekend.

Tbill you need to get a local. You wont make it online betting 5 -10 bucks a game. It just wont happen. You should bet minimum 50-100 on any event. You said you need to get something out of it.Then you need to put something in it and play edge plays only. Good luck whatever you decide.

Tbill...I love what you're saying and thinking and all...I'm not a "highroller" by any means either...but I am short and strong in my tips...I'll put $100 in the account every 2 weeks or so...go balls out for a couple days, (usually over a weekend, with all the NFL, NCAAF, and soccer from around the world)...and have at it...I'll bet maybe like 2 $50 parlays to start...then take the winnings and do maybe a couple $75s after that...then I'll throw $200 on solid 2 team MLer or something...before you know it, 7 hours go by and you're up to $625 telling yourself you should cash out...I usually don't, and then get jammed for half the roll...then I end up cashing out with like $300 bucks or something...it's not that it is a system of mine or anything...and I'm not trying to sound cocky, but I guess it's just "how I roll"...I've tried to change and everything...but it works, so...meh...I don't try and change it...I just have to control the obsession...because if I lose the $100 fast...I want to go back at it...but that's when I've gotten into holes in the past...anyway...I've been able to control it now for a couple years...and the above strategy is what I employ to actually try and make an extra couple hundies a month for myself...

I guess other than being honest about the way I bet...I have to say...you're only wasting time if you're "in it to make $$ now"...if you only plan on risking $3 on a parlay...the truth is, that won't get you far. Deposit another $25 or something...get yourself to around $50...and find the 2 most solid ML games you can think of for the day across your favorite sport(s)...when that wins...maybe do it again with another $30 or something...if you want to make a little extra money to help out with rent or whatever...$3 won't do anything but entertain you...which again, is great if that's what this is...just a hobby to waste time on....but if you want $$...you have to spend it to make it in this business (in most businesses)...just my honest opinion...good luck with the bankroll...do the small timers proud! (me included!!)

Very true both infamous and lakerboy, and the bet sizes are going to go up this weekend (there's some nice soccer plays that I want to get a hold of). The reason I'm staying relatively cautious on the first bet is that I didn't particularly like the lines on any of those 3 games (though it looks as if I should have just bet the Inter -1, -1.5 like I was thinking), and so wanted to stay very low today. The main thing stopping me from getting too cocky too quick is that re-depositing is a slight issue for me, and I'd love to avoid having to do it. So, if this parlay hits, that puts me around 40 bucks, which I'm planning on splitting into a few 5 and 10 dollar bets, which could multiply pretty handily if I hit. And yea, a few big paying parlays are gonna be thrown in as well.

For now, let's just focus on getting some winners. Inter already hit, now lets get those NCAA and NBA games tonight!

BOL to you Tbill believe it or not i started in a similar fashion played very small for a hobby making a little hear and there but gaining vast knowledge in the world of sports betting, than about a year ago i got injured at work which gave me the opportunity to do this full time plus the big settlements from the accident helped nicely, bottom line you just keep doing what your doing and manage your money you should do well i hope anyways

and information here is priceless IMHO the grind works but parlays are not always the best way to go when your starting with limited funds. what i do once i reach a certain goal for the month i cash that part out and start from square one again with initial funds invested luckily i haven't had to add more funds in my account in quite some time.

Yeah man, I've been a Cal fan my whole life and am now a student here and absolutely love it. Our football is quite a wreck at times, but we still keep soldiering on!

Your at the toughest stage, this is were you have to be most focused, every play is very important, try keeping away from parlays at this stage, a $5 parlay isn't just for fun when there is a low balance, hopefully you can get on a 4-5 game run and turn that $35 into a few hundred, then take a few parlays and hope for a few to hit

Thanks for the advice Kara, I always appreciate what you have to say and I'm sure some of your plays will be making an appearance in this project. Unfortunately my first play has lost, thanks to my -725 Virginia Tech pick being uprooted by really shoddy football. A total disappointment.

A thing of note when looking at this German game tomorrow, Hertha has a home losing streak in Bundesliga play dating back to last season. The question is, will the streak be broken tomorrow? Right now I'm liking the Borussia line for -1/2, -1 at -141, but I'm not sure I want to lay that much chalk on a mid level German squad. That said, Hertha couldn't play defense if their lives depended on it, and Borussia is sure to let in at least one goal, so the Over 2.5 (-124) looks like a solid play. I'm going to sleep on it and decide after my midterm tomorrow, but what do you think my soccer fanatics?

Right now, I'm leaning over or no play. Let's get some insight here!

Well the miracle parlay hit 5 out of 6 and was spoiled by Sporting Lisbon's mediocre performance. Never trust the Portuguese to come through. I'm starting to like APOEL +1/2, +1 as well. Before their last loss, they've had the longest home no loss streak I've ever seen. This is far from a must win for Porto as well, and they likely won't be playing their big guns.
