i think what he is trying to say is in 2003 he called up stan james ( a bookmaker) to ask them to put up lines for italian soccer and they refused, and then stan james started putting out lines for italian soccer in 2005 , 2 years later.

If you're outside the US, sign up with betfair and hedge your bets in running. Soccer markets have very good liquidity on betfair so finding the right price isn't a problem.
With Milan up 2-0 heading into injury time, you could lay them at a cost of $1 to win $100. A complete no brainer IMO.Comment
