Fiorentina - Bologna
Fiorentina -1 @ 1.88 (pinnacle)

Another round in Italy's Seria A, and once again, things are getting red hot in the championship. Fiorentina is very good so far, this year, the "viola" team dominating so far in all their matches. First, they won with a massive 5-1 against Siena. After that, came another victory in Seria A, against Bari, at home : 2-1. At the middle of the week, Fiorentina advanced in the next round of the Italian Cup, winning 3-2 against Chievo.
Fiorentina's great come back is mostly based on one of the team's leader come back : Adrian mutu. The romanian striker was mainly injured in the first part of the season, and he didn't help his team that muich. Now, that he's recovered, he scores goal after goal and brings vital points and victories for his team. Mutu scored 5 goals so far, and next to Alberto gilardino, is making one of the most dangerous offensive lines is Seria A.
Fiorentina has another big advantage today : the play on Artemio Franchi, their home arena. Here, they are one of the fiercest teams in Italy, winning 6 matches, only losing 2 and ending one in a tie. Moreover, Fiorentina hasn't lost a match at home since november last year, when they were defeated by the revelation Parma (revelation for that moment).
Bologna is fighting hard to avoid relegation : they are onlt 17th, while the 18th place is relegatable. Bologna is only 1 point in front of Catania, and has 3 defeats in a row. On-road, they've been a total mess this season, winning only 3 points from 27 possible (their on-road line is the following : 0-3-6), but their goal difference is still decent :5 goals scored and 13 conceded. Bologna lost 3 of their last 5 matches against Fiorentina, including the last two played on Artemio Franchi.
Fiorentina did too well so far, therefore I'll play them on asian handicap, -1, against a weak team, Bologna.

AC Milan - Siena
over 2.75 @ 1.95 (pinnacle)/ Milan -1.5 @ 1.88


AC Milan has a big chance today to reduce the gap between them and their archrivals, Inter Milano, who have lost two important points yesterday evening, finishing 2-2 at Bari, in a very epic and tense match (3 penalties, 4 goals in 15 minutes). Inter, however, managed to save one point, after the local team opened the score and than increased the difference.
Milan has, aswell as Fiorentina does, a great start of 2010, winning all the matches they've played : 5-2 at home with Genoa, 3-0 at juventus Torino, and 2-1, in the Italian Cup, against Novara. Milan is getting ready for the big derby next week against the last team in Serie A, so normally, this match should more like a training session, with audience.AC Milan has everthing oin their side, from the home field advantage, to the statistics and of course, the bookies' odds. At home, so far, Milan has won 6 matches, ended one in a tie, and lost 2. Their difference is better than it might seem, as they've lost, early in the season, 0-4 at home with Inter (AC Milan has scored 17 goals and allowed 12 in home matches).
I've mentioned that the statistics are on Milan's side, and the statistics show that Milan won the last 4 matches played against Siena and 7 out of the last 10 matches played in between. Of course, the odds are very small for Milan, but it's normal, as the difference between the 2 teams is a huge one.
Siena is terrible on road : 1 victory and 8 defeats but they are generous to the neutral spectator, as they've scored 12 and allowed 21 away, making them a good over 2.5 team. The best example is their last match, 3-4 on San Siro, against Inter Milano.
Milan is definately the better team here, but Siena hasn't got too many chances left for them to avoid relegation, and they're gonna take every one of them. they've showed it one week ago, scoring and leading Inter 3 times. Milan, however, is for sure notified of that match, and they are not going to let Siena do almost anything. I think that a very likely score is 3-1 for AC Milan
