if you are betting the favorite in asian handicap game.. and they are a quarter ball favorite.. and you lay a hundo on it.. this is what you are really getting
50 on favorite pk (so you win half your stake back in a draw) and 50 on the favorite -.5 (meaning you team has to win) if your team wins.. then you would win the straight up bet as well as the -.5 bet.. thus earning you the full bet... if they pushed .. you would loose half the bet...Comment -

Forget about looking at it as a "quarter goal" man. If Arsenal is favored by a quarter goal, it means the line is pk, -0.5. If Arsenal wins the game, you win all your bet. If it's a tie, you push the half (the pk) and lose the -0.5 wager.

Let's say the -.25ah gives odds of evens, and you put a 100 on it. A 1-0 win = 100 profit........but a draw = a 50 loss (half stake loss)
This is all about insurance and lowering or raising odds to affect the draw or margin of victory.
