My point is that these teams do not concede as often as others. Sure Spa & Por can score but how many vs the other teams & each other. I see more than 1 game going 0-0 here...thus my bet

Top Scorer Future;

Only once since 1982 when FIFA started to give out the Golden Boot did the top scorer come from the last team standing. I'm looking outside the top 3 juiced favs to find a player that had a chance to get to the Quarters while facing suspect defences. That player also has to be the fav as top scorer & top penalty taker for their respective team. I'm avoiding the likes of Neymar & Messi and including Griezmann & James because no player has won back to back top scorer awards in the WC or the Euros. That leaves a dozen or so players with great lottery type odds. My strategy is to bracket my 3 picks as at least one of them is very likely to get to the QF with some goals in his pocket;

Surprise Team of 2018

Morocco -- This team could be the Costa Rica of 2014. Heading onto this tournament since Aug a record of 14W 4D ZERO losses. The books are not giving them any love placing them ahead of only Korea, Panama Tunisia & the Saudis to win the whole thing at 1:501. The most underrated team odds wise. I'm not crazy thinking they will win the world Cup but they could qualify and face a weaker side from Gr A. They have the benefit of playing Spain last who may already be at 6 points. Memories of 1986 when in a group with ENG POL & POR they qualified to the rd of 16 sending Portugal home.
