    Brazil vs South Africa (Help)
    My original play was:

    Brazil -1 1/2
    Over 2 1/2

But something has be not pulling the trigger. "DEFENSE".

South Africa got it. They have not given up more then 2 goals in any of the Confed matches.

    Iraq, New Zealand & Spain

I guess my point here is that this play almost seems to obvious.

    What do you guys think?

    Lay it on me.....

Who really knows? Spain hadn't given up a goal and the crappy USA team scores 2 on them today.

    That's why it's called gambling.

Sorry, but everything is just a guess, albeit some more educated than others.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Well I was expecting something a little more in depth Roag but thanks for the reply hehe.

I realize this is all just best guess but I typically weigh everything in and all signs point towards the above plays.

      Almost "too much"

This is why I decided to get some opinions on the matter.

The game looks to me like a pass but were I to make a play, I'd go with Brazil -1.5. Reasons:

        1) The Spanish loss will keep the Brazilians on their toes
        2) There are players in the Brazilian team who want to seal a permanent place in the team and this tournament may be their only chance to do so. So expect a stellar performance from a good number of the Brazilians.
        3) While the Brazilian defense may be far from the best in the world, Brazil's ball possession will more than make up for their defensive inadequacies. Simply put, South Africa will not see much of the ball. Ever watched Barcelona play? Same style. Opponents won't see much of the ball when players like Kaka and Robinho start enjoying themselves on the pitch.
        4) Brazil are likely to not only score first but do so in the first half, which is bad news for those betting on SA +1.5. If Brazil scores first and do so in the first half, expect no less than 3 goals from Brazil. No team is better at possession soccer than a Brazilian team holding the lead against a mediocre team.
        5) I also think that with the USA upset, many naive bettors may see great value in SA +1.5, which means so much money may go into SA +1.5 and, as usual, the books NEVER lose!

South Africas numbers are skewed. It is without an argument that they played in the weakest group with the likes of New Zealand and Iraq. South Africa only gave up 2 goals in 3 matches, well thats because they played New Zealand and Iraq, both are offensively challenged. You better not give up 1 goal in both of these matches against these below average squads. They gave up 2 goals to Spain which is legit. I have been saying it all along, Brazil is/was the best team in the Confederation Cup. You can't stop their attack, ask USA, Itay, Egypt. Group A which was the group with Spain, S. Africa, New Zealand and Iraq was the weaker of the two, and quite frankly it has shown today and will tommorow in the Brazil/S.Africa Match. The two teams to come out of group A have not played very good competition the past 3 matches, unlike group B where the group was loaded with Brazil, Italy, USA and Egypt. It will show tommorrow when S. Africa takes the pitch vs. Brazil. They have not seen a team as fast or a style of play that even comes close to Brazil. Heck the last place team in Group B would of came in 2nd in Group A (Egypt), thats sad.

Bigjohnson break down your reasoning a level.

Iraq can't play games or train at home, half the players don't play competitive football. The team didn't even attack against New Zealand.

New Zealand are in the cup because they're playing in Oceania against teams who have world records in letting in goals, the teams they are playing can't really be considered professional football teams.

Spain looked impotent in attack without Iniesta, there counter attacks were slow and they had problems breaking down Iraq. Still South Africa let in 2 goals.

Don't base your reasoning on these results, 2 of the teams were not proper teams. Look at what they did in the game, there defense looked sluggish and lacked discipline. Against Spain they went forward and made bad mistakes in loosing the ball when having players up the field.

South Africa defense is worse than Egypt, USA and Italy but Brazil put 10 past the 3 of them.

Also sitting back against Brazil is a bad tactic, they don't play like Spain, they won't pass it around for 5 minutes and build up attack, this team go straight for the jugular. If South Africa loose the ball upfield Brazil won't pass it around, they pick it up and charge down the field. I mean look at how Brazil's 2nd goal against USA was scored, most other teams wouldn't have punished the team like that.

I think you should go with Brazil -1.5

I think yesterday's game with Spain is getting people to rethink their original plans for today's game. Brazil should roll.

My only issue here is BoDog and possibly not udating the lines.

The over is at -145 and -1.5 is at -140

                That is garbage.

The fact that SA is at home ......... there will be some electricity in the stadium so SA will come out with some fire for 10 minute then Brasil will do the SAMBA for the rest of the game, this game will be over by halftime. Brazil 3 South Africa 0!

                  Take Brazil -1.5

south africa will play great defense today. brazil is one of the best but today i think we see SA play their hearts out and cover the +1.5 (EVEN) odds. I'm laying *5 units to win 5 on SA +1.5. GL ALL.

                      1) Yes to 'goal in first ten minutes' prop (that I couldn't find, so added 2) ).
                      2) Over 1 for 1H
