An own goal from outside of the penalty area

I'm guessing I've watched 5,000 or so soccer matches in my life and I've never seen an own goal this far from goal. I mean sure, I've seen balls deflected in on free kicks from a ways away, but nothing like this from open play.

Go to the 1:16 mark to see the build up for the long distance own goal that happens 10 seconds later. Quite an impressive strike for a defender that hasn't scored a goal in 5 years. Too bad it's the wrong goal.

I'm guessing the choice of you getting shot 20 times is a popular one for those that are unfortunate enough to know you.

I'm also guessing the money I've made from watching those matches is at least 5x as much as you've made in the same time frame at your job stocking shelves at Costco.

@gegege... That one I can understand as the goalie was so far up on a loft and I've seen several own goals like that before. The first one looked like a blatant goal attempt; he just ripped it right at the net.
