Atletico from Columbia face Sao Paulo in the 2 legged Copa Libertadores semi-final starting tonight in Sao Paulo and ending next week in Medellin. I could write 3 paragraphs why I love Atletico Nacional at this price, but let's just keep it simple. Atletico has the better team, and they just signed a top striker (Borja) from another Columbian team which should make them even more potent. Sao Paulo is simply a mediocre side this year who has looked really gross playing in Brazil Serie A for 2 months. This really is a case of a soft line because of Sao Paulo's glorious past and the perception that Brazilian teams are better than Columbian teams.
If Atletico Nacional can get a draw or better in Brazil, or even a road goal in a one goal loss, they'll be primed to blow Sao Paulo away next week in a rabid Medellin Columbia. I really believe the wrong team is favored here. I'd have Atletico Nacional at -135
