So lads..
Last week i made a thread about these two teams. It was the last game of the season. Melbourne victory had nothing to play for as they were guaranteed a finals spot and could not possibly move up or down from their current ladder position. Brisbane on the other hand needed 3 points to finish first and win the league.
Victory decided to play most of their young players as they have a tough schedule ahead due to asian champions league games. Brisbane played their full strength team.
I decided to bet heavily on brisbane ML and -1.0
The game finished 0-0
BRISBANE COULDN'T BEAT VICTORY'S B SIDE WITH THEIR FULL STRENGTH TEAM. WHAT THE FUK.
So these 2 teams meet each other a week later in the elimination final.
Surprisingly the brisbane are clear favourites with the bookies. Yes you heard correctly - the team that couldn;t beat the B team of the team they are playing. I guess it's home ground advantage .
Anyway long story short. Victory are in good form. They welcome back key player carl Valeri is who the corner stone to their midfield engine. They are undefeated in their last several games too.
This is a genuine 50/50 game.
Odds of 2.25 for Victory to progress are very generous.
1.5u on Victory to qualify for the next round @ 2.25
Bol to all those who follow, and apologies for last week!
