Hey Sbr.
While learning how to program, i have built myself a soccer database. I track about 50 leagues leagues around the world (including currently inactive ones like nordics). I record the minute of every goal scored, the HT and FT scores, and some other misc stats.
My original purpose was partly betting, but mostly programming and statistics. One thing i love about soccer is how every country has a league, and how much the playstyle differs across the world.
Recently i've begun thinking about how i can put this to use with regards to betting. With my data i can rank all teams across my leagues according to any criterion which has to do with goal timing or HT/FT scores: most early goals this season, over/unders, HT 0-0s Etc. I think that while goal timing is often pretty random, it also has to do with teams' strategy. Do they come out with guns blazing? or do they aim to start the game slowly and safely, passing the ball around a lot.
My problem is that i have a lot of data, but don't know what to focus on. So far i've been thinking about following: Live bets on more/no more goals to come late in the game, HT 0-0s, Early goals/no goals, trading o/u on betfair in periods where a team rarely scores/concedes.
Thoughts and suggestions appreciated
