I think your (ours) strategy heavily depend on human nature.
I have not found proper strategy, but my stakes are small,
therefore I can experiment relatively freely.

for example, I had a bet on Marcos Bahgdatis ML against Mikhael Youzhny (Tennis) and it depends on the level I saw both players playing .. Even all the money comes on Youzhny ML as his odds were going down from 2.70 to 2.15 due to the huge bets on him, I bet on Baghdatis ML and I won it at the end of the day.
another example, Tsonga @1.50 against Berdych 2.50 .. I took Berdych to win at least 1 set @1.60 and won it ..
the point here : when we bet we do not look at the odds or who is favorite, but we bet on the better player or team and that is how underdogs win many timesComment -
