SA lost their captain Nassir Al Shamrani, that`s a blow - he is a captain, one of most talented player, leading goal scorer and player with pace.. SA is still overall stronger team, but not as much as everyone makes it...
there is only 50 places in between in fifa rankings ... that`s 150 vs 102 ... at that high end there is not that much between. yes, SA could beat china and didn`t deserve to lose.. yes they were second favs in a group..
but @ 2.20 now, kind a too low for me.. if price still would be @ 2.62... i would take it. bookies opening prices was ~2.80 vs ~2.62 . i think that would be closer to reality. NK had a chance or two against group favorites uzbekistan, they started well and wasn`t in for spanking. SA has to go all out here,and in asia you more likely to score on a break, than open up sitters barca style... and what if NK finally manages goal..

China - Uzbekistan
two teams with 3 points here, china have a bit less pressure here, they have a relatively better chances in last game than Uzbekistan and pretty much they could win a group here with a win.. i think china is bit underrated, Chinese football gets more competitive in asia, and look like Guangzhou Evergrande was rocking SBR forum not so long ago... there is plenty players from there , including asia footballer of the year in 2013 Zheng Zhi, he has been playing for celtic and charlton atletic. well, the same with Uzbekistan, they kind supposed to be better than they looked against NK. so i don`t think we have yet seen either sides full potential..
expecting both sides to be more worried for defense than attack, and uzbekistan have more possession and combination football against hard working Chinese...
that`s already second round and we yet to see a draw ... never mind a nil - nil

If there is a winner in the 1st game, I think Uzbeks-Chinese will play abit more cautiously. Uzbeks will probably still push for a win but won't go all out to win. Afterall, if 1 of them loses, they enter the last game with 0 or a worse GD. That could put them in must win situation instead. I think qualification is still priority for them than deciding who to play in the next round.Comment -

The value on over 2.5 in this cup is well overpriced and it must be acpitalised. Everyday, they must be a game that goes over and based on their previous meetings between China and Uzbekistan we have seen just that . Over 2.5 has landed in four of their last five mutual meetings. Looking at both teams last five games, over 2.5 landed twice in their last five matches. I think that both teams will try it all to win the game knowing for a fact that a win here will ensure qualification to the next round. Im tempted to bac k China to win, but hey the last five meetings does nto favour them that much.

Qatar seems like they are a thorn for Iran in recent times. In the last 5 meetings, Iran has only beaten them once, a 1-0 in June 2013. The other 4 meetings ended in a draw.

UAE comes in this game full of confidence, they can qualify with a win here and will fancy their chances. in first mach UAE star Omar Abdulrahman was concern due to his fitness , he end up playing all 90 minutes and going into this game in good form after good performance. it`s important, as he is one of driving force in attack. that guy was in trial for Manchester City not so long ago.
Bahrain`s boss Marjain Eid, is one of least experienced coaches in this tournament, he only got to work with team few weeks before kick off. doesn`t seems he have found best of bahrain, yes they had a one or two chances against iran, but you have to take them.. in asia seems you need 10 chances to get one in
they had not the hardest qualifying group, they faltered at Gulf cup and i don`t expect sudden miracles here either... after goalless loss in few days they need to reorganize play from defensive to attacking football for pretty much must win game... against rampant UAE - 5th rank in asia and 81 in fifa (bahrain is 14th and 122nd)

Qatar lost defender in training, Bilal Mouhammed to top up defensive woes...
the same here, qatar has to come out to win this game, otherwise even draw leaves them only small theoretical chances for qualifying(depending on first game). and iran, counter attacking specialist with couch like Carlos Quieroz , knows that, and knows what to do... with that kind of football they went up to WC, the same team the same couch.. and now they are expected to clinch semi finals at least.. i think qatar could get a draw if this would be an opening game, but not, then they coming after 3 goals conceded to face even more clinical side and will have to leave more space at a back sometime during game. tournaments are short and only few teams can turn things around in space of few days. even if they come out better , iran should be too strong for them..
qatar lost and draw with bahrain in qualifying matches for this cup, they ranked equally and i expect the same kind of game here...
i haven`t slept yet since yeterday i posted here in morning will try to stay up for first half at least, but will give up sooner or later..
