Making profits from big parlays?

I have a question for you guys. My friend puts on big parlays every weekend (usually return of $300-400) and he wins like once a month. Its really annoying because here i am playing units etc while he gets lucky from a big parlay. I was thinking, wouldnt it be more profitable doing big parlays all the time and winning?
