Immobile was certain to go, top scorer in serie a, all from open play. It was rossi or insigne, rossi's knee was sore the day after the game raising issues about his ability to last the tourney, dont think it is THAT big of a loss for italy, wouldnt have started as cassano balo have much better chemistry. Also this is the best core of strikers italy has ever brought to a WC (in terms of them all being in good form)

You sure? 2006 Toni, Iaquinta, Del Piero, Totti, Gilardino, Inzaghi????? I cant say form wise altough Toni and Gila were dynamite but that attacking lineup was unreal.
