Sarah, most people can pick winners - that isn't the issue with most punters.

The answer is money management. If you gamble for fun, as most people do, then you will lose money but get the odd big win on a parlay. Nothing wrong with that, some people enjoy it and it makes the total sporting experience better if you have a small wager on an event.

If you gamble to make money, or as a 2nd income. Then money management is the most important aspect you need to learn.

This guy can probably pick winners, but if your stakes are over the place, 20 dollars here, 500 dollars there, then you will get torched in the long run.

Id suggest the OP take a break, come up with a solid staking plan, and develop the discipline to be able to stick to that. Money management is the number one reason a lot of punters keep bookies pockets lined.

Let me tell you a nice little story which ironically happened to me. As a profession I'm a online marketer, made quite a fortune in the past few years, bought whatever I wanted, expensive cars, luxury vacations and so on.

Guess what? I lost EVERYTHING within a single fking month. I had "cash" laying around and all i had to do was to go at my local bookie and bet stupid amount of money for stupid bets because I didn't care what the outcome would be, just to "lose money"

I wasn't even understanding how much I was losing, one day $10k, another one $15k and all of a sudden I lost in 2 days more than 35k and I was almost broke (besides some businesses which i run that would generate me a residual income of like 2-3k per month but thats nothing when you bet on first half corners like 2k right away)

So my friend, take my advice and bet what you can afford to lose and don't be greedy. I was being completely obsessed Saturdays and Sundays, betting on every single match i was watching, of course i was winning some but at the end i was losing.

Nowadays I'm playing small stakes (like max $1k) but I'm averaging some nice little profits each day (like $500-$800) which of course isn't anything compared to what I lost but at least I learnt my lesson, a very expensive lesson though

Good luck and don't lose hope, I lost even the point of living anymore, so here I am now, smiling again after-all, life's too short, so enjoy it at fullest!
