Cup games are always tough to bet. There are so many teams, who are clear favourites, but don't give a micro fyk about it and they end up losing. It's better betting on under/over.

All the petty crap aside, what horja1 says is correct, cup games are nothing like league games. Unpredictable, a lot of teams don't give a sh*t. Depth of squad, league standings, etc. all play a role. Perfect example, last year Wigan wins FA Cup and gets relegated from Premier League. Books don't make "mistakes" to the level your title suggested, least not successful ones. And for what it's worth, Giz is about as sharp as a marble. Good luck with your future bets.
