    A League
    back to a league

    Adelaide United 4.00 v Brisbane Roar 1.83

Brisbane has been demonstrating brilliant soccer putting them at the top of the ladder, adelaide has been slowly
warming up to the occasions, however it showed in last weeks game against melbourne heart that their defence is still shiet, leading 2-0 and ending with a 3-3 draw. adelaide have the worse defense record conceding 15 goals, have not kept a clean sheet in 8 starts and havent had a victory in 7 games and they have only won 1 in their last 9 matches against brisbane. I think brisbane should be able to get the job done tonight, however last weeks 1-0 win over perth seems like they are getting ahead of themselves. To win they need to keep it consistent tonight, hoping my home town gets firing early like they demonstrated at home against wsw. they need to show that on away games.

    Perth Glory 1.80 v Wellington Phoenix 4.33

hard game to predict here even though odds favour home. Think odds are suggesting home because perth are generally dominate at home, however i think pheonix has what it takes to win tonight. Perth have a pretty big loss with smeltz being out injured also. both teams have been playing pretty unsatisfactory so it might not be a game i play. Better pick would probably be wellington DNB.

I like them both, actually very surprised at the odds in the first game. Mentioned in other threads that I'm usually looking for unders in this league as well.

Adelaide play suicidal defense (crazy high line, Brisbane play a very high line also but they maintain possession much better), it's ridiculous but it makes for a really good game of football which is what their manager is after. They're going to play right into Brisbanes hands tonight unless they change tactics which is unlikely as they're playing at home. I think Adelaide are good for at least a goal also. Has the potential to be an absolute goal fest imo.

Perth v Wellington screams under and if I had to make a bet gun to my head that would be it. But..... I took the under the first time they played this season and fluked that as it should of lost, both really have to start winning so neither should be playing an overly defensive game. Finishing is going to be the problem with these two they really do struggle to put the ball in the back of the net. I'm hoping it's a 2-1 game, both teams manage to score and someone finds a winner but to be honest a bore draw wouldn't surprise but I just see no value in the under because as I mentioned earlier a draw is doing neither any favors.

      Brisbane 3-1.

Perth 0-0 (I'm hoping they both find something and I'm not sure how but going to back goals. Stupid? Probably but worth a crack imo at good odds)

I like your opinion on Wellington Lucas. I'm a Phoenix fan and they're not as bad as their record suggests, think you'd have to be pretty brave to back Perth at those odds.

How about 0-0 ht / 1-1 ft for the perth game?

              I assume it's paying plenty!

I couldn't talk anyone out of a 0-0 half time result which is also very good odds so good luck if you go that way. Obviously I'd be keeping stakes very small on your pick! From memory the last game was 1-1 at HT and stayed that way so that reversing that wouldn't be suprising.

Alright I'm heading out for the night so won't play the Perth game just the first (only play games I'm watching/following live). So if anyone is brave enough to tail the other pick good luck! I wouldn't be going crazy on it but I do think it's a live bet. It's a bit like a New Jersey Devils/Florida Panthers game going over for any Americans reading, you get juicy odds and sometimes when these types of teams play each other there's some unexpected action.

                Good luck to all.

was gonna play Victory but Archie Thompson is still out which puts me off a bit. Pantelidis left Perth tho so with Jamieson and Gallas injured they should be weaker at the back

perth has attackers sidnei and smeltz still out victory will do fine with james troisi and mitch nicols. perth has a poor record in melbourne only winning 2/13
