Explain soccer odds

Hey guys never bet soccer before and have been looking at the lines and have questions about some the lines offered?

I'll use the newcastle sunderland game thats offered for tomorrow.

newcastle has line options of pk,-1/2 +111 also pk, +1/2 -171

also the over reads o2,2 1/2 -154 also 2 1/2, 3 +112

My asumption is the one number is a push and the other has to be beat for a win.

This question is asked like 1000 here.

If you're betting pk, -1/2 that's you betting half your $ on pk, and half your $ on -1.2

So if it ends as 1-0 for your team, you win full amount. If it ends as 1-1, you lose half ( -1/2 ) and you get half back ( pk )


Over 2, 2 1/2 same thing. If it goes 1-1, you lose half, get half back.

Over 2 1/2, 3 = If its 2-1, you win half ( over 2 1/2 ) and you get half back ( over 3 = push )
