full squads for bayern vs. chelsea?
couple things worry me and make me want to not bet this game. bayern have been a little off as of late and do these teams ever care about this game?

    thanks.

i suppose bayern might want to try and take it to chelsea as they always want to prove themselves?

that is if it's a full squad. i'm not going to lie. i know the teams well enough and how they perform but i could maybe name 5 players combined for both teams.

            lol

Bayern rested 5 or 6 key players when they played Freiburg on Monday, and it cost them as they ended up drawing 1-1 despite having numerous chances to kill it off. The fact that they rested likes of Alaba, Ribery, Robben, Mandzukic, Boateng, and Lahm shows that they are taking this Super Cup seriously. Bayern want to get revenge on Chelsea after Chelsea (Drogba!) knocked them out of CL season before last. Also, Guardiola has a big rivalry with Mourinho stemming from Barca/Real rivalry so both will want to win to get the upper-hand.

I expect the Bayern line up to be:

            Neuer
            Lahm
            Boateng
            Dante
            Alaba
            Robben
            Ribery
            Schweinsteiger
            Goetze/Kroos
            Mandzukic
            Muller

no expert pal! Bayern may be too pumped up tho and crack, but at same time Chelsea were poor in last season Super Cup final against Atletico, lost 4-1. I personally think Guardiola or "The Philosopher" as Zlatan calls him is over-rated as a Manager.

Im just playing Bayern DNB in a parlay, but go with your gut. I wouldnt be surprised if it's a 1-1 or 2-2 draw tho and goes to extra time.

If Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez aren't fit enough to start then Guardiola could have an issue as they wouldnt have a defensive holding midfielder who can win the ball back. They'd either have to move Alaba to centre mid and play Lahm at left back with Boateng at right back and Van Buyten partnering Dante or play with a very attack minded midfield consisting of Kroos, Goetze, Ribery, and Robben. Playin Van Buyten wouldnt be ideal, he was woeful against Freiburg on Monday.

It's only been a few games, but it seems Guardiola is trying to turn Bayern into a Spanish team, i.e. possession/ball control instead of the attacking style that made them so dangerous (and entertaining). How the f*k do they draw with Freiburg, regardless of lineup? Bayern's second team would finish top 4 in most leagues. I'm not touching them until I've seen more games. Never though scoring would be an issue for this team.

A lot of them have come in. The first one they did was Podolski to score and Arsenal to win, away to Liverpool first game last season.... came in at 9.00.
They do them for NBA also, hit a few - theyre good for fun.

whenever you have top clubs playing with a lot of talent it looks like overs are a great bet. most of the time the over will only be 2.5 and at a great price. the reason for that is like vaughany said: these kind of games end up 1-1 or 2-2 going into extra time. the 2-2 is pretty rare though. heck, i wouldn't be surprised if this goes 0-0 into extra time. going to take a chance with bayern though.

this is just my opinion but if you want to play a total (i would just stay away from the total, period) you would bet the under.
