This will be the penultimate play for this thread, which was designed to track my plays during the major European seasons. With almost all of the major leagues at the end of their respective seasons, only the Champions League finals remains.
I will probably open a new thread for summer action. I'll be betting MLS, World Cup and J-League for the most part ... Maybe a little degenerate action on the leagues in Sweden and Ireland from time to time, but I expect that thread to produce worse results than this one. My main reasoning behind that prediction is that I suck at J-League, and I expect World Cup lines to be rather sharp.
I'm satisfied with the way this turned out, even if I blew a significant portion of the profits with the season-ending slump. That's definitely not the way I wanted to end things, but I appreciate all the support and advice fellow posters have thrown my way during this season. I couldn't have expected things to turn around so drastically after the horrible start, and I'm glad I stuck to posting plays and continued to learn more about the beautiful game and hone my sports wagering abilities.
Like in December when I went (sort of) big on Club America, I love to cap the Liga MX (half) season with a larger-than-usual wager (Nothing that would actually hurt me. Be responsible about this shit, people!) If it doesn't hit, oh well. Still up 20 units for the thread with one game to go, although I have a good feeling about this one.
Thanks to all who popped in the thread occasionally to offer support or feedback ... Zizou, EP, onemore, eda, Enry, Paco and all the others. Wish me good luck on this one. I want a second leg that goes down to the wire and is full of goals, so something that replicates the first leg.
