    Japan J League: 6 July
Return of the J League after the break for the Confederations Cup.

    Looking for people's opinions here.

My initial lean is the under in the Omiya vs Sagan Tosu game. The last 6 games have gone under between the 2 teams. If it wasn't for the break I would have taken Omiya to win here as they have won all 5 previous meetings at home. The players might not be match sharp and this normally results in a lack of a cutting edge of front. Also, both teams will be well rested so playing good defence for 90 minutes hopefully won't be an issue. I watched Omiya's last home game against Shonan Bellmare and they struggled to break them down, although did manage to grab a win late on.

With the same thinking as above and lack of match practise, there are 2 very short priced favourites tomorrow:

Vegalta Sendai against Shonan and Yokohama against Oita

Yokohama vs Oita is very short priced in favour of the home side and too much imo. I doubt many people would argue that Yokohama are a better side away than at home and have no wins in the last 3 home games. Oita are rock bottom, but have 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss in the last 3 away. The loss was against defending champions Hiroshima 1-0 and Hiroshima are now in really good form after a shaky start to the season.

You can currently get Oita +1.25 at over or just under even money in most bookies.

Vegalta Sendai are really improving now the demands of the Champions League are over. I think the odds are a bit short on them, but you would need to be brave to take Shonan +1 away from home against them.

I've not checked injuries yet, but I don't imagine a lot of problems for teams, due to the long break.

The above are just leans and my thoughts at this point. Other thoughts and viewpoints very welcome please.
