Del Bosque said his team would not hold back otherwise it would be disrespectful..He did say, that they plan on playing reserves ..which would be Torres, Mata, Navas, Carzola..their reserve team would probably be top 15 in the world. Nigeria missed a ton of opportunities yet they won 6-1..shouldn't this be 10+ goal win for spain? anyone else think this should be pounded and then some

Nigeria could have been more motivated knowing that goal difference might be a factor for them progressing, where Spain won't really need to rely on GD.

But then again, even a Spain B squad is high quality like you said. And how hard do they even have to try to get 9 goals?? They normally keep possession and do not run up the score, but this is a complete mismatch so that does not apply I feel.

I hope Tahiti can put one in the net against Spain. Can you imagine how wild they will go

Lol. Their reserve team is probably top-5 in the world. I am just not sure how they would feel putting up so many goals against the poor amateurs. If I knew they would be playing at full speed, I would lay half of my bank on the over for sure.

one thing i learned when it comes to soccer you do not know what to expect. i see bad teams winning or drawing against other teams all the time. yeah, i know the situation calls for -8 and over 8.5 but this is soccer. it's kind of like baseball only even more unpredictable.

went with the under, I thought it was pretty crazy to offer such a line considering they won't most likely go 100% for all 90 minutes regardless of what del bosque says, and while tahiti isn't exactly a soccer powerhouse they'll put in most of the effort in some sense
