he shot with a left foot( he shoots right) right into the goalie..

Bayern didn't need to win, just not lose by three or more goals (3-1 would result in extra time). That's why they rested Schweinsteiger, Ribery, etc. Robben's a black hole, the Kobe Bryant of Bundesliga. Ball goes in, doesn't come out. Might as well have blinders on. I only watched parts of game but in space of 5 minutes in second half tht I saw Bayern had two chances in the box that were only cleared because of defenders throwing themselves in front of the ball. I doubt this game was fixed since it just follows suit - big team + big lead from 1st round = control and play it safe. Internal motivation to win = <5% for bayern
I do agree that these things are fixed to a certain degree, say 70%, but that would be true for any sports where millions and millions of euros/dollars are involved. This is especially true for US sports where you have a constant reward-system; suit up and get money and then get more money if you belong to the top 1%. The only logic for a good player, i.e. not the 5%, is to make sure that they stay in the league and inflate the value of their constant contract/media deals.
The good thing is - as a betting man - this is not a problem. It makes things so much easier; recognize the pattern, find the x and avoid the games that are not safe. It was never safe to bet on Bayern yesterday since there would never be a situation where they needed to win. The same script went for the San Antonio Spurs against the Timberpups on tuesday - losing by -24p against the worst team in the league after beating the best team in the league by +12. It's a question of internal and external motivation and you should be able to identify this and place the bets that are safe.Comment -
