    UEFA Champions League
    Atletico Madrid +220
Atletico will do all they can to top their group. Marseille will only show up for the game. The outcome of the game is of no use to Marseille, which might cause their manager to rest their top stars for their next league game.

    Liverpool +160
Liverpool are in the same group as Atletico. They'll equally want to win the group. PSV stands disqualified already and have better things to do than putting much effort into this game. They may rest their star players for this one, which will enable Liverpool roll over them.

In fact, both Atletico and Liverpool may buy their games to enable them win by as many goals as possible so as to win the group.

    Panathinaikos/Anorthosis OVER 2.5 (+105)
Don't believe anyone who tells you this game will go Under. The last meeting between these sides produced 4 goals and this one should produce at least 3. The bottomline is that both sides will score and since a winner is likely to emerge, the Over is the play.

    Roma -1 (+110)
This game will exclaim the gap in quality between these sides. With Totti back in the Roma starting line-up and Roma badly in need of a win, they'll skin Bordeaux.

Not so sure about the motivations of Liverpool and Atletico, both having already qualified. According to this preview Liverpool could rest the likes of Garrard.

And PSV, like Marseilles, have more at stake because 3rd place in the group is good for the next round in the UEFA cup; 4th place means exit from the international stage.

This could be a spot for a correlated parlay, because PSV will only need a point if Marseilles is losing its game, and PSV will have no chance (-5 goal differential) if Marseilles wins it game. There should be plenty of scoreboard watching to see how the other game is going during both games.

Winning the group means you play the second game of the knock-out stages at home, which is hugely advantageous. Liverpool will play without Torres but the same team was able to pump 3 past Blackburn last weekend. The guy who scored all of PSV's Champions League goals won't be in the line-up. Plus PSV is being plagued by internal squables right now.

My predictions: OVER on AS Roma - Bordeaux, Marseille - Atl. Madrid, Panathinaikos - Anorthosis and Shakhtar(+1.5).

Good luck. I just wanted to point out that Anorthosis hasn't scored a single goal on the road this year (except when they played Rapid Vienna back in July) and that the coach of Panathinaikos said they will sit back and defend and let Anorthosis attack.

Barca is a dangerous pick. They've won their group already and are only preparing for this weekend's game against Real Madrid. That's reflected in their line-up as they have no Messi, Eto'o and Henry in the line-up. I won't be surprised if Barca lose their game.

If Anorthosis get one all hell will break loose. Definitely the best game of the day.

Well I've just looked at the line ups. Anorthosis is playing with no forwards to start the game. Sosin, Frousos and Costa are on the bench.

That's tactical. A goal scored at any point in this game will open up the game for more. The strikers on the bench will come in later when the defenders a bit tired.

Maybe the better play is to play the +0.5 Anorthosis then if this is the tactic.
