I'm pretty enthusiastic about Gus calling matches. Since he's not doing the NFL (mostly) or College Hoops anymore - I need my fix!
It takes a long time to really get your brain into a tourney as deep as the Champions League. I sure hope he does his home work so he doesn't make a fool of himself (assuming he wasn't much a fan). Some of his MLS work was less than desirable.

If we can't have the best announcers, I'll take Gus and hope he develops.

Gus was solid, didn't over do it, got excited when it was warranted. He didn't pull a Ray Hudson, who creams his pants every time Messi touches the ball. Also didn't stumble over players names, seemed like he knew what he was doing. There are guys calling NFL games who f*k up names/teams all the time.
