Hey guys just joined this site - I never noticed there was a soccer forum on here!
Match fixing happens, actually just today there were 2 Albanian cup games - one involving S.Korce who actually recently fixed a game against Mattersburg - they lost 0-4 and won 5-1 today. So I would say Albania is fixed the most followed by Russia,Latvia/Estonia/Macedonia/Turkey/Cyprus etc etc.
It happens a lot, yes, but not so often for the mainstream games like most of you are playing.
In response to "Boxing Champ".. I dont think the Saudi/Argentina game was fixed. Argentina did fix a friendly with Nigeria a couple of years ago but I doubt they would do it with Saudi.
You also mentioned the Lyon Zagreb game.... Zagreb are poor in the Champions league and Lyon could have scored 3-4 no problem, I understand why you think it was fixed - but that doesnt mean it was. What I dont undertsand is if you were cynical of this game - why the hell wouldnt you bet on more goals, say with the match at 1-4?
Also, most of you fail to realise is that match fixing for the gambler isnt always a bad thing, you know?
