I have been betting for around 7 or 8 years and have had decent success overall. The reasons for these picks are firstly Villa Vs Newcastle, a lot of people think Newcastle are the most appealing play and their argument is valid but I just feel the Villa Park crowd have had enough and you have to throw them a bone. I think some are forgetting what a torrid season Newcastle are having and the glut of new signings will help them in the long run but it will take time to gel. Darren Bent is on course for a recall tonight and the partnership of him and Benteke could be effective. I think they grab a point and 'stop the rot' so to speak.

As for Notts County, well this one is simple, Portsmouth started the season well for a team who is made up with nothing but short term players with one month rolling contracts. However that was under the guidance of Michael Appleton who is long gone now as is their top scorer Izale McLeod. They have lost the last 5 games (including a 3-1 home loss to basement bottom Hartlepool who had only won 2 games all season). I think Notts County stroll to victory with Portsmouth unfortunately staring down a barrel of League 2 football next season

Okay okay so I made slight profit last night, luckily Notts County did me a favour but in my other bet Villa just couldn't find that equalizer

Unfortunately Real and Barce missed an absolute bucket load of chances and it cost me dearly, such a frustrating game to watch when on the over

Celtic at home in the Champions league is different from any other, despite being underdogs each and every year, they somehow manage to pull off the big wins at Parkhead against big opposition and I feel tonight will be no different. Either way a positive result for Celtic will bring me profit and although I will be attending the Middlesbrough game (unfortunately - 5 losses in a row to date) I'll have a keen eye on the Celtic updates

Well that didn't work well last week despite Celtic deserving something from the game, well my next bet is similar for tonights game and hopefully will pay off this time

As much as people are all over Bayern, I just think that Arsenal show up in games like this, with all thats happened over this past week with big questions being directed at Wenger regarding his future, I think his team come out the blocks early in this one. I think Bayern will progress into the next round but it will happen in Germany and I can see Arsenal getting a decent 1st leg scoreline tonight.
